Food Network's 20th Birthday

Food Network was celebrating a milestone birthday in 2013 and the brand needed to show industry executives how it evolved from a scrappy startup television network into a powerhouse, multiplatform lifestyle network.  

In order to do this, I was responsible for a few key elements:

  • Managed RFP process to find experiential agency and ensured that key programming genres, brand extensions and food trends were included in design concepts.

  • Worked with experiential agency to develop an immersive event with 18 interactive stations including an Americana diner celebrating the network's 'On the Road' genre, a live noodle puller paying tribute to globally inspired cuisine, an artist building a collage out of Food Network Magazines.
  • Managed 1200+ invite list and RSVPs.
  • Worked with external caterer and Food Network Kitchens on the food and beverage menu and execution.

Food Network's 20th birthday party was a success with over 1200 talent, executives and client partners in attendance.  Industry and general media covered the celebration amplifying the reach of the event.  Past and present talent were honored to be feted, but also appreciative to have face time with important advertising and cable executives.
