Directv Super Fan Festival



Key distribution partner, Directv, hosted it's first ever Super Fan Festival, a three day music, food, and football festival leading up to the Super Bowl in Glendale, AZ. They approached Food Network to activate at the festival as well as partner to throw the Super Fan Tailgate before for the big game.
My objective was to support Directv's initiative while promoting priority Food Network series through the event. I managed three major elements for the festival and tailgate:

To kick off the event, I worked with Duff Goldman to bake a custom Super Fan Festival themed cake for an official ribbon cutting - he had two new prime shows premiering during that time frame.

I also developed a consumer activation to promote priority series, Cutthroat Kitchen including a 'cash catch' and photo activation available throughout the festival.

I worked with Food Network Kitchen and Directv's event team to build out the branding and menu for the exclusive, invite-only tailgate.

The Super Fan Festival brought in over 28K attendees over the three day period and over 3K VIPS for the Super Fan Tailgate, including celebrities like Rihanna, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Adrian Grenier, and Maria Menounous. Food Network's support of the events also helped with future contract negotiations with Directv.
